Blue Berry Topping

1 pound blueberries

1/2 cup sugar

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons cornstarch

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the cornstarch dissolves. Boil until the mixture thickened stirring occasionally. Cover and refrigerate.
